Edge Forming

Carbide-tipped profile bits from Freud and Diablo for shaping a finished edge: rounding over, beading, cove, chamfer, classical cove and ogee fillet. Pick by cutting diameter and by the radius or bevel the profile actually leaves — a 3/4 in. rounding over bit and a 2-1/4 in. one cut the same shape at very different scale. Most run a pilot bearing, so the stock edge guides the cut without setting a fence.
