Specialty Cleaners

Solvent cleaners and degreasers: CRC Brakleen in chlorinated and non-chlorinated, Pro Series parts cleaner and degreaser, QD electronic cleaner, Gunk engine degreaser, and disposal and drain cleaners. The chlorinated versus non-chlorinated choice is a real one — chlorinated brake cleaner cuts grease faster and is non-flammable, but it must never be used near welding or any hot work, where the vapor breaks down into something genuinely dangerous. Non-chlorinated is flammable and is the one to keep in a shop where torches and grinders run. Electronic cleaner is a different formulation that evaporates without residue and is safe on plastics and boards; parts cleaner and degreaser are not, and will craze plastic and strip coatings.
