Strapping

PAC strapping and the seals and tools that go with it: hand-grade and machine-grade polypropylene, polyester in smooth and embossed surface, woven and composite cord strapping, portable steel coils, and plastic strapping seals. Choose by how much the load will settle. Polypropylene stretches and relaxes, which is fine for a light, stable carton bundle; polyester holds tension through settling and temperature change and is the standard for palletized and heavier loads. Cord and composite strapping give polyester-level retained tension with no sharp edge, which is what to specify where people handle the load by hand. Steel is for loads that will not compress at all. Seals and tensioners are sized to the strap width and are not interchangeable across widths.
