Shipping policy

Supply Tie sells industrial and business supplies that ship from many manufacturer and distributor warehouses across the country. This page explains how shipping works, what it costs, and how long it takes.

Where we ship

We ship to addresses in the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, APO/FPO and Canada: by quote. Canadian orders are FOB our dock in St. Anthony, IN (you arrange the freight carrier and customs). Contact us for a quote.

One order, several shipments

Products ship from the warehouse that stocks them, so an order with items from different warehouses arrives in separate shipments, sometimes on different days. Your cart groups items by where they ship from, and you receive tracking for each shipment as it leaves.

Shipping costs and free freight

See your shipping cost in the cart before checkout: real freight, no surprises.

Shipping is calculated at checkout from the items, their weight and size, and the ship-from location. Many ship-from locations offer free freight once your order from that location reaches its free-freight amount. Each location's amount applies to that location only. Amounts from different locations are not combined. Your cart shows, for each group, the estimated freight and how much more is needed to reach free freight.

Free shipping on small-parcel orders of $100+. Small-parcel orders of $100 or more ship free when the order is made up only of MRO small parcels: up to 10 lb total. If the order also includes heavy, freight (LTL), hazmat or glove items, standard rates apply to the whole order.

MRO orders: Free shipping on orders $500+. Heavy or bulky, oversize and hazmat items are excluded. Those items ship at real freight cost, shown at checkout.

Items that must ship as hazardous materials carry a flat $23.00 hazmat charge per parcel shipment. Hazmat items always ship at real freight cost (not included in free shipping).

Current free-freight amounts by ship-from location are listed on our Free-freight minimums page. These amounts can change.

Oversize and freight (LTL) items

Large, heavy or palletized items ship by truck freight (LTL) or oversize parcel. These items are charged freight unless the cart shows otherwise. Freight deliveries may need an appointment, a dock or forklift, or a liftgate, depending on the carrier and your address.

Freight estimates and exact quotes

Your cart shows an estimated freight charge. Our estimate is set on the safe side. If you would like an exact figure before ordering, use Request a quote for this cart in your cart, or request a quote with your ZIP code. We usually reply within one business day.

When your order ships

Each product page shows its expected ship time and, on many items, an estimated shipping cost for your ZIP code; the same estimates appear at checkout, where your actual shipping is calculated. Most items ship in 1–3 business days; special-order and drop-ship items vary by vendor. Custom, made-to-order and bulk items take longer; the product page or your quote states the time. Delivery dates depend on the carrier and your location and are estimates, not guarantees.

Order multiples

Some products are sold only in full boxes, packs, cases or pallets. The product page states the unit and quantity, and the cart only accepts whole units.

Local delivery

We deliver ourselves within about 90 miles of St. Anthony, Indiana: southern Indiana and the Louisville / Owensboro / Evansville region. We can also set you up on a weekly, every-other-week, monthly or as-needed delivery schedule. Contact us with your list and your address, and we will confirm availability and any charge before anything is ordered.

Damaged, missing or late shipments

Please inspect deliveries when they arrive and note any visible damage with the carrier. If an item arrives damaged, is missing, or is the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right. See our Refund Policy for returns.
