Epoxy & Structural Adhesives

Structural epoxies and wood consolidants, including the Abatron LiquidWood and WoodEpox system in 12 oz, pint, quart and gallon kits. Rotted wood repair is a two-product job and skipping the first step is why most of these repairs fail — the liquid consolidant soaks into the soft punky fibers and hardens them into a sound substrate, and only then does the epoxy filler have something to bond to. Both are two-part kits with a defined mix ratio and a working time that shortens as the temperature rises, so mix what you can place. Cured epoxy filler can be shaped, sanded, drilled and painted like wood and it does not shrink, which is what makes it right for a sill, a column base or a window jamb you would rather not replace.
