Door and Window Weatherstrip

Weatherstrip and door hardware: Frost King foam and poly weather seal, and Kwikset Tylo knobs, deadbolts and passage sets in polished and antique brass, satin nickel and satin chrome. On weatherstrip, the gap is what you measure — compressible foam seals an uneven gap that a rigid stripe will not, and a seal that is too thick keeps the door or sash from latching, which is how most of it ends up torn off within a season. On the lockset side, entry, passage and deadbolt are three different functions: passage sets do not lock, entry sets lock at the knob, and a deadbolt is what actually secures the door. Backset and door thickness have to match, and 1-3/4 in. is the standard exterior door thickness these are cut for.
