Alexandria Moulding dimensional pine and trim: 1x2 through 1x6 boards and furring strips, 2x2 and 2x4 studs in 8 ft, unfinished pine molding, and 1/4 in. plywood in 2 x 4 ft panels. Nominal and actual are not the same number and this is where projects go wrong — a 1x4 measures about 3/4 x 3-1/2 in. and a 2x4 about 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 in. Grade matters for what you can do with it: #2 and better premium grade allows some knots and is structural and paint-grade, not a clear finish board. Pine moves with humidity, so let it sit in the space a few days before you cut and fasten trim, and prime all six sides of anything that will see moisture.
