Welding

Welding, brazing and soldering consumables and shop accessories: Alpha Fry tin/lead and lead-free silver-bearing solder, Bernzomatic torch heads and cylinders, Forney tip cleaners, cable lugs, chipping hammers and parts brushes, and B&K dielectric unions. Lead-free silver-bearing alloy is what is required on potable water lines; 60/40 tin/lead is for electrical and non-potable repair only. Solder diameter matters more than most buyers expect — 0.062 in. and up flows fast on copper tube, 0.03 in. and below is for electronics and fine repair where a heavy bead would bridge. A dielectric union is the fitting that separates copper from galvanized steel and stops the galvanic corrosion that eats the joint from inside.
