Pipe Cutters

Tube and pipe cutters: Superior Tool ratcheting pipe cutter to 1-5/8 in., a standard tube cutter, a 7/8 in. mini tube cutter for tight quarters, and a Milwaukee reaming pen. Capacity is stated as the largest outside diameter the tool will take, and the mini cutter exists because a full-size cutter needs room to swing a full turn — in a joist bay or against a wall, that clearance is the whole problem. Cut slowly and tighten a quarter turn per revolution; forcing the wheel deforms the tube and leaves an out-of-round end that will not seat in a fitting. Every cut needs deburring inside and out, which is what the reaming tool is for, and skipping it restricts flow and can score an O-ring on a push fitting.
