Storm Doors

Storm and screen door hardware: National Hardware pneumatic and air-controlled closers, latch sets and full hardware sets in black, bright brass and satin nickel, Larson wind chains, and M-D vinyl door bottom sweeps. The closer and the wind chain work together — the closer controls normal closing speed, the chain is what stops the door from being torn off its hinges when the wind catches it, and a storm door without one will eventually find a gust. Pneumatic closers adjust for speed and latch force with a screw at the barrel, and most complaints about a storm door come down to that adjustment rather than the hardware. Sweeps are sized by length and are cut down to fit; measure the door width, not the opening.
