Oil-based or water-based stain and finish?
Water-based products dry faster and clean up with soap and water. Oil-based products clean up with mineral spirits and generally take longer to dry. Each can lists dry and recoat times; follow the maker's guidance when putting one type over the other.
What finish should I use on outdoor wood?
Spar urethanes and marine spar varnish are listed for exterior wood, along with exterior stains and sealers. Check each listing for interior or exterior use.
How fast does it ship?
Most items ship in 1–3 business days; special-order and drop-ship items vary by vendor.
Does shipping cost extra?
Freight depends on which supplier ships the item. Your cart shows each shipment's freight and any free-freight threshold before you check out.
Can I get a better price on a larger quantity?
Larger quantities often price lower. In your cart, use "Request a quote for this cart" (or our Request a Quote form) for a volume price.
How can I pay?
By card at checkout. ACH or check is accepted on invoiced orders, and Net 30 terms are available for approved business accounts.
What if something arrives damaged or wrong?
Tell us within 7 days of delivery, with photos and your order number, and we will replace it or refund it at our cost. Items you no longer want can only come back with prior approval, within 14 days, unopened, with a 20% restocking fee, and the buyer pays the return freight. Custom, opened and hazardous items, and chemicals and adhesives once shipped, cannot be returned. Details are in our Refund & Return Policy.
