Hand Film

WrapTite high performance hand film in metric widths from 30.5 cm through 44 cm, in gauges from 9 to 14 micron, 4 rolls to a case. Hand film is wrapped by an operator walking the load, so the practical limit is not the film’s strength but how hard a person can pull it — which is why a high performance film at a lighter micron often outperforms a heavier commodity film in real use, since the operator can actually stretch it. Width is a throughput decision: a wider web covers a pallet in fewer passes, a narrower one is easier to control on small or irregular loads. Anchor the film at the bottom, wrap up and back down, and keep the bottom courses tight to the pallet, since that is what stops the load shifting off the deck.

Questions about Hand Film

What does hand film cost?

Prices depend on the width, length and gauge, and each product shows its price. Most hand film is sold by the case of 4 rolls. To compare by the foot or by the pallet, see stretch film cost per pallet.

How is hand film priced and packed?

Priced per roll and sold in full cases, usually 4 rolls per case. The product title shows the case pack.

What gauge should I use?

Gauge is thickness. 80 ga is the common general-purpose film; down-gauge performance films (about 47 to 63 ga) hold like thicker film for less; 90 to 120 ga is for heavy or sharp loads. 1 micron is about 4 gauge.

What widths and lengths do you carry?

Hand film from 11" to 18" wide, mostly 1,000' to 2,000' long. Pre-stretched and coreless rolls are also available; search "pre-stretch" or "coreless". The full list is on our Stretch Film Sizes & Gauges Chart.

Can I try a roll first?

We send spec sheets with quotes, and we can usually send or bring a sample of film, tape, gloves and abrasives. Ask on the quote form.

How fast does it ship?

Most items ship in 1–3 business days; special-order and drop-ship items vary by vendor.

How can I pay?

By card at checkout. ACH or check is accepted on invoiced orders, and Net 30 terms are available for approved business accounts.
