Masking Tape

WrapTite masking and painter’s tape: general purpose, industrial grade and heavy grade white masking tape, blue and green painter’s tape, in bulk and retail packs. Masking tape and painter’s tape are not the same product. General purpose masking tape is a bundling, labeling and short-term hold tape, and it will lift paint and leave adhesive if it sits on a surface for more than a day or two or sees sun. Blue and green painter’s tapes are made to come off cleanly after a stated period — green typically holds longer and on more delicate surfaces. Industrial and heavy grade masking tapes carry more adhesive and take higher bake temperatures for shop and finishing work. Whatever the grade, press the edge down firmly and pull it at a shallow angle while the paint is still slightly soft.
