Anchors

Concrete and wall anchors: concrete screw anchors (Tapcon, Hillman Tapper and Screw-Bolt+), sleeve, wedge and strike anchors, toggle bolts, plastic and nylon expansion anchors, and Ramset drive pins, with carbide-tipped bits for concrete screws listed alongside. Brands include Hillman, Tapcon, Ramset, Blue Point and Grip-Rite.

Concrete anchors are sized by diameter and length. Drill the hole with a carbide bit of the diameter the anchor calls for, and set it to at least the embedment shown on its package. Hollow walls take toggle or expansion anchors instead. Bits are in Masonry & Hammer Drill Bits; screws are in Screws.
