Small Engine Fuels

Small engine oil, fuel treatment and solid fuel: Opti-2, Lawn-Boy and Craftsman two-cycle oils in 1.8 through 8 oz, ethanol fuel stabilizer, hardwood pellet fuel in 40 lb bags, and fire logs. Two-cycle oil is bought to a mix ratio and the bottle sizes exist to match common gallon mixes, so check what the engine calls for — 50:1 and 40:1 are not interchangeable, and running a lean mix is how a piston gets scored. Ethanol in pump gas draws water and separates in storage, which is what kills carburetors over a winter; stabilizer buys months, draining the tank is the more reliable answer. Pellet fuel is rated by ash content and moisture, and premium grades foul the burn pot more slowly.
