Supply Tie Flexible Plastics shrink film and sheeting: shrink bundling film in 16 through 24 in. widths on 4200 ft rolls at 2 mil, shrink bags in large pallet-cover sizes at 4 mil, plus construction film and machine top sheeting. Shrink and stretch are different processes and the film is not interchangeable — shrink film is applied loose and then heated, and it draws down tight to the shape of the product, while stretch film is pulled tight as it goes on. Shrink is what gives a uniform, tamper-evident, weather-tight pack on bundled goods and on a full pallet. Bundling film on a long roll runs through an L-bar or sleeve wrapper; shrink bags are hand-applied over a pallet and shrunk with a heat gun or a ring.
