How to get an accurate freight quote on a pallet order

Freight is where most pallet quotes go wrong. A price that looks right on paper changes once the truck needs a liftgate, or the order turns out to ship from two places. Send us these few details up front and the quote reflects how your order will actually ship.

When an order ships by freight

Pallet quantities and large or heavy orders ship by LTL freight (less than truckload) on a pallet, not by parcel. That includes full pallets of stretch film, strapping and bags, rolls of matting, and heavy single items. If your order is 500 lb or more, send us your ZIP code for a freight quote instead of relying on the cart estimate.

What to send us

• Ship-to ZIP code. Freight is priced by distance and lane, so the ZIP matters more than anything else.
• Dock, forklift or liftgate. Freight deliveries usually need a dock, a forklift or a liftgate. If you don't have a dock or forklift, tell us you need a liftgate so it is in the quote.
• Business or residential, and any limits. A delivery appointment, a narrow drive or a site with no truck access changes the price. Tell us before we quote.
• Quantity, or the pallet count. If you already know you want 2 pallets of film, say so. If you're matching a list, send the list and we'll work out the pallets.
• More than one site? Send the quantity and ZIP for each one. We quote each location's freight separately so you see what each site costs.

Why one order can ship as more than one shipment

Most items ship directly from the supplier's facility nearest to you. If your cart has items from more than one supplier, they ship separately and freight is figured for each one. Free freight thresholds are set per supplier and ship-from location, not per cart, so the cart shows each group on its own. Heavy single items (30 lb or more on MRO orders) ship on their own and are charged by weight.
