Solid means no opening. There is no pour spout or bung fitting — the cover crimps down flat for shipping and storage. Choose this when the container is filled once and opened at destination.

The UN rating is a pair, not a part. A UN rating certifies the pail and cover together as a package. Use this cover with a UN rated pail such as our 5 gallon Y1.9/100 open head to keep the rating intact. Fitting it to an unrated pail does not make that pail compliant.

Red phenolic lining matches the lining on our rated pails, so the whole interior surface resists the same solvents and chemicals.
